  1. Participants understand the concept of integrated rainwater management and rainwater management strategies
  2. Participants understand the concept of suitability and feasibility maps
  3. Participant are able to map out rainwater management strategies of their choice with the Nile Goblet tool
  4. Participants are able to feed their own maps to the Nile tool
  5. Participants are able to organize a Nile training for their peers

Participants’ profile
This training is for participants who have already a background in GIS and know how to do simple manipulation in ArcGIS or another open source GIS program.
Participants of this training should be willing to organize a half day training on the Nile-Goblet tool for their peers within their organization.
Participants should bring their own laptops!
8-9 October in Addis for OARI and partners (Beshale Hotel or ILRI campus)
13-14 November in Gondar for ARARI and partners (Gondar University)
We will cover, transport, accommodation and lunch. Please ask for a per-diem from your organization.
